To Qualify Women to Launch Small Businesses and Enter the Labor Market, Bank of Palestine Continues to Empower Women Economically in Cooperation with Tubas Charity Association
Bank of Palestine has provided its support to a vocational training project for women in Tubas Governorate, implemented by the Tubas Charity Association, to enhance women’s opportunities to enter the labor market and launch income-generating small businesses. This is achieved through professional qualification via specialized training workshops in various fields.
The project runs for four months and targets 30 women from the governorate within the age group of 18–45. It contributes to empowering participants to work within a safe environment by launching home-based businesses that enable them to generate quick and sustainable income, while also strengthening a network of support and cooperation among the participating women.
Bank of Palestine emphasized the importance of empowering women across all Palestinian governorates by equipping them with the skills and tools needed to develop independent businesses and enhance their economic participation. This, in turn, supports their integration into the labor market and improves their living conditions and those of their families amid the current economic challenges.
The Bank explained that this support aligns with its commitment to social responsibility and falls within its strategy aimed at empowering Palestinian women and reaching women across all governorates, based on its belief in the ability of Palestinian women to innovate and actively contribute to strengthening the local economy.
For her part, Ms. Maha Daraghmeh, Director of the Tubas Charity Association, expressed her deep appreciation for the support provided by Bank of Palestine, noting that this cooperation reflects the Bank’s commitment to supporting Palestinian women and strengthening their presence in the labor market. She affirmed that the association places great importance on vocational training and qualification programs, particularly for women facing difficult social conditions or unemployment challenges. The association seeks to empower them by providing a safe training environment and practical opportunities that help them acquire new skills and launch small businesses that ensure economic stability.
She added that this project embodies the association’s mission to serve the local community and reflects its commitment to building effective partnerships with national institutions, foremost among them Bank of Palestine, which continues to support developmental and humanitarian initiatives.
Bank of Palestine continues to support projects led by and involving women through an integrated package of banking programs and products specifically designed to support women entrepreneurs and owners of small, medium, and micro-enterprises, ensuring the sustainability of their businesses. This also includes the “Felestineya” program, which aims to develop women’s capacities in managing and expanding their businesses, in addition to banking and financial awareness workshops, and technical and financial advisory services provided by the Bank to support women business owners.
