Bank of Palestine Hosts Entrepreneurship Workshop: Right Startup Ecosystem

As part of its social responsibility and believing in importance to support young entrepreneurs and innovators in all sectors, Bank of Palestine hosted a ‘Together Building a Right Startup Ecosystem” workshop held at Bank of Palestine main HQ in Ramallah. Representatives from different international organizations and Palestinian private sector organizations supporting youth projects and entrepreneurs participated in the workshop, which was also attended by Bank of Palestine branches directors as well as directors of educational centers.

Organized in cooperation with Palestine for a New Beginning which is part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, the world’s premier entrepreneurship campaign, the workshop is considered one of the largest annual activities bringing together entrepreneurs and business innovators who introduce to business new and creative ideas. More than 130 countries joined the campaign including different partners from the Global Entrepreneurship Week, and 40 firms supporting entrepreneurship will shortly hold one activity at least to inspire, promote and support Palestinian entrepreneurs.

Furthermore, Director of Growth at Hackbright Academy at the University of California Angie Chang gave several advices, tips and tools used in pilot projects and causes of success. She talked as well about her experience in founding the Bay Area Girl Geek Dinners. In addition, Chang founded Women 2.0 which is a media company that encourages women entrepreneurs to organize high-tech ventures. She received the title of “Most Influential Women on Technology” from Fast Company in 2010.
