Bank of Palestine completed its participation in the activities of the annual conference and exhibition SIBOS 2019, which was implemented in London, the United Kingdom, between 23 and 26 September 2019. Representative from Bank of Palestine include Mr. Hashim Shawa, the Chairman of Bank of Palestine Group, Mr. Rushdi Ghalayini, the General Director of Bank of Palestine, Mr. Suleiman Nasr, Treasurer, Mr. Hasan Afifi, Director of Operations and Information Technology, Mr. Amir Shaath, Deputy Treasurer, and Mr. Adham Fawadleh, Division Manager at the Financial Institutions Department.
More than 11,000 people participated in the event from leaders of financial and banking institutions and individuals from all over the world who are part of SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications), the global provider of secure financial messaging services. SIBOS is a leading annual event in the global financial sector, and considered the most important conference for banks and financial institutions worldwide.
Through its participation in this great event, Bank of Palestine aims to benefit from the international experiences of financial and banking institutions, create linkages and networks with a group of elite banks in the region, consolidate relations with its correspondent banks, open new and effective prospects at all levels, and observe the latest developments in the banking products and services industry and information technology systems in the banking worlds and banking sector.
SIBOS 2019, is the 41st conference, and it is one of the leading and most important annual events in the international financial sector, and is considered the main conference for global banks and international institutions, which is held annually for the purpose of shaping the financial future around the globe, discussing the future and challenges of the financial sector and financial immunity and compliance systems, and draw future visions collectively and collaboratively to develop the future of this sector.
It is worth mentioning that SIBOS is organized by SWIFT, which aims to establish business deals and draw future plans for the financial sector. The city of Boston in the United States will be hosting the event of SIBOS 2020.
