Assistant Deputy General and Treasury Division Director Mr Ihsan Shashaa, Head of the Financial Institutions Division Mr Ami Shaath and Placement Division Director Mr Suleiman Nasr hosted in BOP main HQ in Ramallah a visiting delegation of executive officers from Commerzbank in Germany. The agenda for the visit included meetings to strengthen joint cooperation between BOP and Commerzbank in all spheres. The German delegation was briefed on the history of BOP since its inception in Gaza in 1960 as well as the Bank’s latest developments and growth, including the opening of new offices and branches.
Through hosting Commerzbank delegation BOP aims to strengthen relations, exchange expertise, introduce the German delegation to the investment environment in Palestine and learn from the banking and financial experience of Commerzbank.
For its part, the German delegation expressed admiration for BOP’s achievements during the past years in spite of the great challenges and difficulties in Palestine. The visiting delegation also expressed its delight and deep gratitude to BOP for hospitality and special relations that tie the two banks.
