Sponsored by Bank of Palestine.. Ya’bad Heritage Festival Concludes Activities amid Rapturous Public Applause

Sponsored by BOP, Ya’bad First Heritage Festival concluded its activities in the town of Ya’bad, Jenin, last Thursday. The three-day festival included cultural, national and art evenings for Palestinian artists and singers of oral strophic poetry declaimed in the Palestinian colloquial dialect known as zajal.  Participating artists included Mustafa Al-Khatib, Nasser Faris, Manal Mousa, Salam Abu Amla, Rami Abu Salah, Majed Abu Ghosh and Mohammad Qadih.

BOP has sponsored the festival inspired by the importance of rejuvenating Palestinian cultural heritage, history, culture and authentic Arab traditions. The bank has unequivocally declared its sincere readiness and willingness to support recreational, cultural and development projects throughout Palestine. Through cultural festivals the present and past history of Palestine blend together, emphasizing the original Arab Palestinian identity and the struggle to keep it alive.

Ya’bad Heritage Festival also included the staging of comedies, traditional dabke dance and folksongs.
