Bank of Palestine has contributed to the establishment of a dedicated endoscopy unit at St. Joseph Hospital in Jerusalem, aiming to enhance the hospital’s capacity to deliver advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients, accelerate their treatment journey, and expand access to care for a larger segment of those in need.

This contribution to St. Joseph Hospital comes as part of ongoing efforts to expand and strengthen the healthcare service system in Jerusalem hospitals, through investment in infrastructure and modern medical equipment, thereby improving the efficiency and quality of healthcare services provided to citizens.

In this context, Mahmoud Shawa, General Manager of Bank of Palestine, expressed his pride in the Bank’s contribution to the development of the healthcare sector through the establishment of a modern endoscopy unit at St. Joseph Hospital. He noted that such initiatives aim to reinforce the infrastructure of medical institutions and meet patients’ needs by providing high-quality therapeutic services that help alleviate their suffering and ensure more efficient and higher-quality care.

Shawa added that this step aligns with the Bank’s strategic vision, which prioritizes investment in human health, stemming from its firm belief that advanced healthcare is a cornerstone of human and community development.

For his part, Mr. Jamil Koussa, General Director of St. Joseph Hospital, affirmed that Bank of Palestine’s contribution to the establishment and expansion of the hospital’s endoscopy unit represents a qualitative addition that enhances its medical capabilities. He explained that the unit will open broader prospects for the hospital to conduct a wide range of advanced endoscopic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, thereby raising the level of services provided to patients and meeting the growing needs of residents of Jerusalem and the surrounding areas.

It is worth noting that Bank of Palestine is committed to allocating a portion of its annual profits to support a variety of developmental and community programs, including healthcare, higher education, and the empowerment of children, women, and youth, in addition to infrastructure projects, recreational facilities, and the development of sports talents reflecting its role as a key partner in the national development process.
