The Bank received the Silver Standard Certificate, and Ms. Catherine Halteh, Head of the Investor Relations Department at Bank of Palestine, received the 2026 MEIRA Champion Award for her contributions to developing the investor relations community and advancing its practices across the region.
MEIRA announced the awards during its 19th Annual Conference and Awards Ceremony, held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Commenting on the achievement, Mr. Mahmoud Shawa, CEO of Bank of Palestine, expressed pride in the recognition, saying, "At Bank of Palestine, we view investor relations as more than a communication channel." It is essential to building trust, understanding investors' expectations, and aligning them with the Bank's vision, performance, and future direction. This recognition reflects our continued commitment to strong corporate governance, transparency, and disclosure, as well as our efforts to establish clear, responsible institutional practices for investors, customers, and stakeholders. These efforts support informed decision-making while keeping pace with evolving market developments and international best practices.
Mr. Shawa also expressed pride in the Bank's highly qualified professionals and their ability to excel, compete, and establish a strong regional presence. He added: This recognition reflects an institutional culture built on investing in people and knowledge, continuous development, and the adoption of best practices. We remain committed to translating this expertise into added value that enhances performance, strengthens the Bank's standing and regional presence, and contributes to the development of the Palestinian financial sector and the advancement of its professional practices.
These achievements build on Bank of Palestine's longstanding commitment to investor relations. A member of the Middle East Investor Relations Association since 2012, the Bank continues to strengthen transparency and disclosure, enhance communication channels with investors and stakeholders, reinforce institutional trust, and promote best practices in the field.
The 2026 MEIRA Champion Award also recognizes Bank of Palestine's contributions as a banking institution committed to fulfilling its responsibilities toward relevant stakeholders. At the same time, it represents a significant professional achievement for Ms. Catherine Halteh, recognizing her efforts to support and develop the regional investor relations community. The award further underscores the importance of teamwork and collaboration across the Bank's departments, highlighting employees' contributions throughout the organization to achieving institutional excellence and enhancing professional performance.
