Bank of Palestine has concluded its participation in Sibos 2026 in Miami, United States, following several days of active engagement and intensive meetings with leading figures from financial and banking institutions around the world. The participation reflected the Bank’s strong international presence and its ability to represent Palestine at one of the global financial industry’s foremost forums.

A high-level delegation from Bank of Palestine attended the conference, led by Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Hashim Shawa. The delegation included the Bank CEO Mr. Mahmoud Shawa; Ms. Linda Tarazi, CEO of Bank of Palestine Global (under establishment) in Abu Dhabi; and a number of executive management members and representatives. Their participation underscored the strategic importance the Bank places on developing its international banking relationships and expanding its presence in regional and global markets.

Bank of Palestine’s participation was highlighted by a dedicated pavilion designed as a platform for institutional engagement and for strengthening its international banking presence. The pavilion included a meeting room for bilateral discussions and high-level meetings. Throughout the conference, which attracted more than 10,000 participants from around the world, the pavilion served as a meeting point for senior banking executives, representatives of financial institutions, correspondent banks, international partners, and the media. This enabled the Bank to broaden its international network, deepen existing partnerships, and explore new opportunities for cooperation and the exchange of expertise and knowledge. Discussions also addressed prospects for developing banking business and services and strengthening integration with global financial institutions in financing, cross-border payments, financial technology, and digital innovation, supporting the Bank’s efforts to expand its international presence and reinforce its position within the global banking system.

Bank of Palestine emphasized that its participation in Sibos 2026 went beyond a conventional presence at an international conference. It provided a meaningful platform for building new connections with the global financial and banking community, opening new avenues for growth and cooperation, and reinforcing the Bank’s standing as a Palestinian institution with an international presence and ambition.

The participation also demonstrated Bank of Palestine’s ability to present a positive image of Palestine and its banking sector, highlighting the expertise, capabilities, and institutional practices that enable the sector to engage and integrate with the global financial system.

From Miami, United States, Bank of Palestine conveyed a clear message: it is a Palestinian institution with deep local roots, decades of experience, and ambitions that extend beyond borders to build broader partnerships and contribute to a more interconnected financial future that is open to the world.
