Out of BoP’s commitment to CSR in the youth and sports sector, BoP signed a contract to sponsor and support Nour Dawoud, the first female Palestinian race car driver.
Hashim Shawa, Chairman and General Manager of BoP, stated that this agreement marks a development in BoP’s CSR contributions, especially because it’s directed at Palestinian female athletes who are determined to achieve their dreams and to represent Palestine around the world. It is also BoP’s first time to sponsor an individual athlete.
Dawoud expressed her gratitude to Shawa and to bank of Palestine for their continuous support to Palestinian youth and athletes. Dawoud, a Jerusalemite, won several Formula 1 competitions in Palestine and abroad and is the first Palestinian female competition in Formula 1.
