BOP Provides Donation to Right to Live Society to Support Children with Autism and Down Syndrome

Right to Live Society signed the special donation agreement from BOP to support rehabilitation, educational and health care services for children with autism and down syndrome. The signing ceremony was attended by Ala Al-Radwan and Khaldoun Abu Salim from BOP, Chairman of Right to Live Society Mrs Adala Abu Sitte, Executive Director Engineer Ahmad Al-Hilu, and Adalat Yassin and Nabil Jneid.

Al-Radwan talked about the necessity and importance of the support provided to charitable societies in Palestine and particularly in the Gaza Strip, which is passing through difficult conditions and has much need for humanitarian support. Al-Radwan stressed the role Palestinian institutions can have in helping fulfill the needs of the Gaza population, stressing at the same time the role of BOP in developing programs to alleviate poverty and support people with special needs. He added BOP support to Right to Live Society is part of the Bank’s responsibility toward the social sector in Palestine.

Mrs Abu Sitte expressed her gratitude BOP General Manager Mr Hashim Shawa for this generous donation that mirrors the humanitarian, national and cultural side of BOP. He added the fact that BOP has opted for providing support to Right to Live Society reflects the Bank’s policy of continuously looking for excellence and distinction.

Engineer Al-Hilu praised the creative and humanitarian initiatives of BOP toward all segments of the Palestinian society especially children. He pointed out BOP initiative will contribute to the consolidation of the concept of corporate social responsibility.

Right to Live Society is one of most important charitable societies operating in Gaza Strip. It is the only society that provides rehabilitation educational and health care services to children with autism and down syndrome.
