Bank of Palestine launches a new marketing campaign to encourage customers to use their cards while making purchases

Bank of Palestine launched a new marketing campaign to encourage its clients to use their plastic cards at supermarkets, commercial centers, clothing stores, restaurants, hotels, electronic appliance stores, gas stations and other stores. Cards that are eligible to enter the draw and win the campaign prizes include the Visa Debit Card, the Cash Card, the Credit Visa and the Credit Master Card.

Campaign beneficiaries include all Bank of Palestine customers who use the aforementioned cards and become eligible to enter the competition to win the Mercedes GLA 250 (2017 model) grand prize, for which the draw will take place at the end of the campaign. Card users are also eligible to win daily prizes on the value of their daily purchases. The draw for the daily prizes will start on Sunday, 1 July 2017 and continue until the end of the campaign on 31 December, 2017.

Both current and new customers participate in the campaign, provided that they use their Bank of Palestine cards to conduct their purchases from various stores. Customers who make purchases in the amount of 50 shekels and above, or their equivalence in foreign currency will increase their chances to win, taking into consideration that these services do not incur any commission. Customers who spend 1,000 Shekels and above during the entire campaign period shall enter the draw to win the Mercedes GLA 250 (2017 model).

Mr. Thaer Hamayel, Head of Marketing and Public Relations at Bank of Palestine, stated that this campaign forms part of the efforts conducted by the bank to promote the culture of plastic cards usage while shopping. He pointed out that Bank of Palestine is the first bank to introduce the electronic payments system and the credit cards acceptance service after being the only bank in Palestine to issue and accept credit and debit cards, taking into consideration that the bank is the first and sole issuer of all types of these cards by a specialized center that has been working in Palestine since 1999. Hamayel added that the use of plastic cards is a qualitative development in terms of benefiting from the banking services offered by Bank of Palestine, and these cards are safe and smart, and they decrease the risk of carrying and using cash.

The culture of plastic cards usage developed in Palestine while making purchases at commercial stores, supermarkets, restaurants and service centers, and this usage doubled whereby the number of Bank of Palestine electronic Points of Sale that accept all types of credit cards exceeded 6,000, distributed across the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
